One hotel in Palm Desert was among the nine hotels and six restaurants in Riverside County that received the AAA Four Diamond Award for 2009, the Automobile Club of Southern California has announced.
Desert Springs JW Marriott Resort & Spa in Palm Desert received the coveted four-diamond rating.
The majority of AAA winners in Riverside County are in the Coachella Valley.
The award-winning properties are among the top 3.4 percent of more than 2,600 Southern California hotels, motels and restaurants inspected by the Auto Club, the nation's largest AAA affiliate.
