With most of the vote in, three incumbents were beating the sole challenger in the Desert Water Agency election, early results from the Riverside County Registrar Web site showed.
Incumbent Patricia “Pat” Oygar of Palm Springs led the early results posted just after polls closed at 8 p.m.

“I think people appreciate the experience and the knowledge, but I know they want things to get done,” the five-term director said Tuesday night.
Incumbents Ron Starrs and James Cioffi were both holding steady in the three-seat race.
Trailing behind was challenger Armando Rancano. The Palm Springs sustainability commissioner was running on a platform of conserving water.
“Either way, we are going to get a strong water conservation program. I would have preferred doing it while on the inside, but I look forward to a partnership with the board,” Rancano said Tuesday night.
