No one was arrested as the FBI and other agencies from the Coachella Valley Gang Task Force served a search warrant Wednesday morning in North Palm Springs, an FBI spokeswoman said.
"Investigative activity did take place, (but) no one was arrested," said Laura Eimiller, spokeswoman for the FBI's Los Angeles field office.
Eimiller said the activity in the unincorporated area north of Palm Springs was part of an ongoing criminal investigation.
"We're not in a position to comment on it," she said.
She said the agencies were executing a state search warrant that had been sealed by a court.
The Riverside County District Attorney's Office issued the search warrant, said Michael Jeandron, a spokesman for the office.
Jeandron said he could not comment further on the investigation and added that search warrants are served every day throughout the county.
Eimiller said she believed reports that the investigation took place in the 19-000 block of King Road were correct.
