Museum celebrates 25th anniversary
Saturday will be a busy day at the Coachella Valley History Museum, 82-616 Miles Ave.
An antique car show is the highlight of the museum's Family Day, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will also be face-painting, a special collection from Highway 99, storytellers in the old schoolhouse and snow cones.
Admission to the museum is free for children and teens 18 and younger and half off for their parents, said Allison Fedrick, exhibit and public programs coordinator.
The museum will also celebrate its 25th anniversary with drinks at 4 p.m. and a sit-down dinner and entertainment until 7 p.m.

Donate blood for a chance to win a car
LifeStream plans to have four blood drives this month in Indio.
Donors will be entered in a 2010 Toyota Prius giveaway and will also have a chance to win a $50 Lumpy's Golf gift card or a round of golf for four at PGA West.

Task force member to dance with ‘Our Stars'
Nancy Madson is raising money for the Indio Youth Task Force during the “Dancing with Our Stars” charity event on Sunday at the Embassy Suites in La Quinta.
