A bus tour that will focus on birding in the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Naturalist and ornithologist Kurt Leuschner will lead the trip, which will include stops along the Palms to Pines Scenic Byway including Lake Hemet, Hurkey Creek, Idyllwild Nature Center and Lake Fulmor.

Participants are asked to bring their binoculars and field guides.

Tickets are $40 for general public and $25 for students with ID. Refreshments and snacks will be provided.
