Local artists showcased their work Saturday at the second annual Culturas Arts Fest in Coachella.

Musicians, storytellers, artists and dancers gathered at Dateland Park at Bagdad Avenue and Shady Lane to demonstrate their artistic abilities.

Organizers announced the artists who were chosen to participate in the 1,000-foot Shady Lane Mural project. Their work was displayed throughout the event.

A Dia de los Muertos celebration also took place, and it included a procession from the park to Centro Martin Ortiz on First Street.
