More than 2,000 Southern California Edison customers in Palm Desert are without electricity this evening.
The outage occurred at 8:25 p.m. and it affected customers in an area between Country Club Drive and Minnesota from the north and south, according to a SoCal Edison spokesman.
At about 8:40 p.m., a woman suffered minor injuries in a collision at Hovely Lane and Washington Street, where street signals have been knocked out, according to the California Highway Patrol.
SoCal Edison crews are responding to the area and officials have not determined the cause of the outage.
