Palm Springs police to hold community awareness event

Palm Springs police will host a community awareness event to teach residents how to feel safe in their homes and neighborhoods.

Saturday's session will focus on gangs, graffiti, animal control and firearms, according to the department.

The free seminar is scheduled to take place 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Palm Springs Police Department, 200 S. Civic Drive.

Reservations are required.
