Tickets go on sale Friday for the Rancho Mirage Cultural Commission's presentation of Russian comedian Yakov Smirnoff.
He is scheduled to perform 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 14 at the Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower Medical Center, according to a city news release.
Smirnoff performed widely in the 1980s, and his routine featured jokes about the contrast in lifestyle between the United States and Soviet Union.
Tickets cost $35 and may be purchased at Rancho Mirage City Hall and the public library.
