Life planning seminar

The UC Riverside Palm Desert campus is hosting an estate and life planning seminar for same-sex couples.

The event starts at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the campus, 75-080 Frank Sinatra Drive.

The seminar is free and open to the public.

B-Tan Too in Palm Springs was one of nine salons nationwide that earned a five-star rating from the industry's leading equipment supplier.

ETS Tan recently made the announcement at the Indoor Tanning Association's World Tanning Expo in Nashville.

B-Tan Too is owned by James Dodson.

New Starbucks is open

The Starbucks in Mecca is now open.

The coffee shop is at the corner of Highway 86 and Avenue 66 in the AM/PM Travel Center.
