A traffic crash this afternoon is slowing traffic on Highway 111 in Indian Wells.
The incident happened about 4 p.m. in the eastbound lanes at Cook Street, according to Riverside County Sheriff's Department dispatchers.
According to passing motorists, a black Mercedes is blocking the eastbound lanes, while westbound traffic also is moving slowly.
There are unconfirmed reports the crash was a result of a hit and run, and that the victim suffered minor injuries.
