A number of Coachella Valley residents are reporting that their cable service with Time Warner Cable has been out since about noon.

Calls to a Time Warner Cable spokesowman have not been returned. There are unconfirmed reports that the disruption spans the Coachella Valley and reaches San Diego.

One resident said he was told by Time Warner Cable service representatives that cables were cut and repair workers were looking for them.

A recording on the utility's customer service line said that as of 7:45 p.m. video service was experiencing disruptions including outages across the Coachella Valley.

As of 10 p.m., a restoration time was not available.
