A naked man walking on the shoulder of the I-10 freeway near Blythe has been assisted by the California Highway Patrol and Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

The man, who was spotted walking on the freeway about 11 a.m. Monday, was determined to be a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico. A driver's license and vehicle registration were found in his car, said CHP public information officer Ramon Perez.
"Apparently, he's a mentally disturbed person," said Perez.
Perez said a CHP officer was able to talk to the man's father. He'll return to his city of residence and receive help, Perez added.
