A man stabbed during an apparent robbery at his Rubidoux residence died today, as investigators continued to search for possible suspects, authorities said.

The victim, whose name was withheld pending notification of his family, was attacked at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in his apartment in the 5900 block of Limonite Avenue, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies found the man lying on a sidewalk in front of his residence, suffering from ``multiple penetrating injuries,'' said sheriff's deputy Herlinda Valenzuela.
She said investigators learned of a possible home invasion at the apartment, but no suspects were immediately identified.
The victim was transported to Riverside Community Hospital and clung to life there before being pronounced dead at 8:30 a.m. today, Valenzuela said.
An investigation was under way, she said.
Anyone with information was urged to contact sheriff's investigators at (951) 955-2777 or (951) 955-1099.
