The Mission Springs Water District scored an award at a recent multi-state symposium of water-related trade associations, the district announced this past week.

The district was presented with the Employer Appreciation Award, which recognized the district for its “continuous, outstanding and generous support” of continuing education programs.

Tri State — an industry group representing Arizona, California and Nevada water industry associations — holds the seminar, which is a popular education destination for water industry staff.

Lee Boyer, lead operator of the district's wastewater plant, was recently elected to Tri State's executive board.
