Mayor Yvonne Parks is much more than a cheerleader. She is a powerful, yet humble consensus builder who puts the needs of the citizens of Desert Hot Springs first.

Were it not for confidence in her leadership, we would not have been successful in obtaining commitments from various law enforcement agencies that resulted in Operation Falling Sun.

Were it not for confidence in Mayor Parks and the existing City Council, we would not have attracted and retained the staff that is implementing her vision for a powerful and profitable future for the city.

The mayor's opponent has used a non-issue to distract from the real issue in this race, that being the future of the city.

We will be better served by a humble and cooperative mayor who puts the needs of the city and its citizens first, who is able to build consensus, and had guided this City Council with aplomb, harmony, and vision. I support Mayor Yvonne Parks for re-election.
