Every local election I am left with the same question: What is going to be done about all the campaign signs that are blowing around the city?
It would seem that these useless politicians have some cleanup work to perform in the city that they desire to represent. These campaign signs are a blight on the city and look horrid to anyone visiting. Personally, I would never come back.
They should be allotted a given number of signs (say 100) and it would be up to them to place them strategically around the city. Not 10 deep on every street corner or every 5 feet along every roadway. Once the election is over, they would be responsible for retrieving their allotted number of signs from the desert. If they blow into the desert, they better get out there and pick them up.
I don't understand why this is not an issue for every citizen.
