A recent letter to the editor reported the amount Rep. Mary Bono Mack has received in contributions from insurance companies.
While the amount she has received is significantly less than the insurance companies have given to many other elected officials, I wonder whose claims these insurance companies turned down in order to have the money to give to Mary to try to influence her vote. Sadly, insurance companies are charging high premiums and denying claims in order to help provide them the money they contribute to elected officials in both parties to try to buy their votes. Why do the citizens of our country continue to tolerate this?
