The Palm Springs Teachers Association is holding a community meeting today to go over how budget cuts have affected classrooms.
The meeting will start at 6 p.m. at the Cathedral City Library, 33-520 Date Palm Drive.
It will include a report on the state of the budget at Palm Springs Unified School District and in the state.
Teachers will also speak about how cuts have made an impact on their classes.
"We especially want to help Palm Springs citizens better understand the specifics of the controversy concerning Race to the Top funds and just how different Palm Springs classrooms are this year, especially in terms of class size," teachers association president Bev Bricker said in a press release.
