Desert Hot Springs to pay consultant up to $125K for museum

The Desert Sun • November 5, 2009

The city of Desert Hot Springs will hire a consultant to work on the Cabot's Pueblo Museum Master Plan Project.

The council unanimously agreed to pay up to a total of $125,000 to Bauer and Wiley and Jones & Jones to act as consultant.

They won out after 28 design firms submitted proposals late this summer.

Architects Bauer and Wiley as well as Jones & Jones, landscape architects, will be required to create a master plan and conceptual design.

The consulting contract should be an “easy vote” and considered an investment in the city, said Michael O'Keefe, president of the board of directors for the Cabot's Museum Foundation.
