Man arrested on endangerment charge
Oct. 26, 6:41 p.m. — During a pedestrian check at Calle Ensenada and Avenida Mendoza, La Quinta Special Enforcement Team officers arrested a 33-year-old La Quinta man on a child endangerment warrant.
Officers respond to Kohl's for shoplifting
8 p.m. — Officers responded to Kohl's at 78-950 Hwy 111 for a suspected shoplifter in custody. A 48-year-old woman from Coachella was subsequently arrested on suspicion of commercial burglary and possession of burglary tools.
Special enforcement team makes arrest
9 p.m. — La Quinta Special Enforcement Team officers conducted a traffic stop at Mountain Cove and Highway 111 and arrested a 24-year-old woman from Palm Springs.
Store targets potential shoplifter
Oct. 27, 4:34 p.m. — La Quinta patrol officers responded to Target, at 78-935 Highway 111, where there was a report of a person stealing CDs.
The suspect had reportedly taken a kitchen knife while in the store and used the knife to cut open the boxes in the restroom.
Officers confronted the suspect, a 50-year-old man from Cathedral City, outside the front door. He didn't cooperate and was arrested on suspicion of commercial burglary and theft with priors.
Parolee arrested on meth suspicion
5:20 p.m. — Officers from the La Quinta Special Enforcement Team and Gang Task Force conducted a parole compliance check in the 52-100 block of Avenida Mendoza, where they arrested a 29-year-old man from La Quinta on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and a parole violation.
A 31-year-old man from Coachella was also arrested on a parole violation.
Felon arrested; ammo seized
Oct. 28, 3:30 p.m. — A 29-year-old La Quinta man was arrested for being in violation of probation and being a felon in possession of ammunition.
He was arrested by La Quinta Special Enforcement Team officers during a probation search in the 52-700 block of Eisenhower Drive.
Officers said ammunition was found inside the man's bedroom.
Indio man suspected of stealing money
Oct. 29, 6 p.m. — A 24-year-old Indio man was arrested on suspicion of residential burglary and violation of parole.
He is believed to have stolen a large sum of money from a casita inside the La Quinta Resort & Club.
According to a La Quinta Special Enforcement Team officer, the suspect works for an electrical company and had worked at the victim's residence the day of the crime.
While the suspect was at the residence, he saw the money, police say. After completing his job, he left only to return later, steal the money and leave through the golf course, according to police.
Man suspected of drinking too much
Oct. 31, 2:55 a.m. — Officers arrested a 24-year-old man from Massachusetts on suspicion of public intoxication.
He was stopped during a pedestrian check at Rancho Santana and Avenue 52.
Domestic violence warrant served
10:25 a.m. — A 34-year-old man from La Quinta was arrested for an active felony domestic violence warrant.
Police respond to domestic violence
3:08 p.m. — A 55-year-old man from La Quinta was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence after police were called to a residence in the 54-500 block of Avenida Alvarado.
