The Mobile Workforce Development Center team visited Coachella City Hall on Thursday to assist residents in applying for jobs online.

A team of five employees from the Indio Workforce Development Center were there to provide the assistance

The idea behind the mobile center is to bring the technology to the job seekers rather than making them travel to Indio.

Residents who visited the mobile site also received help with résumés, reviewed job listings online and were given assistance in enrolling in educational courses and vocational training.

More than 100 visitors stopped by, county officials said.

The event was sponsored by the Workforce Investment Board, Riverside County Board of Supervisors and the Economic Development Agency.
