The Southwest Community Church's Harvest Fun Fair collected 187 boxes of cereal for The Narrow Door, a local charity that provides assistance to families in labor camps in the eastern Coachella Valley area, officials said.

The Oct. 31 event was hosted by the church as a family-friendly alternative to typical Halloween festivities.

The Harvest Fun Fair attracted more than 4,000 attendees, officials reported.

The Southwest Community Church is at 77-701 Fred Waring Drive in Indian Wells.
