IncredibleArtist.com and the Desert AIDS Project seek donations of red glass to help commemorate World AIDS Day, which is Dec. 1.

The organizations will use the talents of assemblage artists Charles and Linda Perkins to create an AIDS ribbon out of red glass and copper. It will hang permanently over the main entrance to DAP, at 1695 N. Sunrise Way.

The artists have created a small prototype, but donations of broken, red glass are needed to make the final version. Donations are being accepted through Nov. 20.
