A free seminar today will provide the gay and lesbian community with information about financial and estate planning.

The first of three seminars is at 5 p.m. in the library of the Desert AIDS Project, 1695 N. Sunrise Way, Palm Springs.

Best Best & Krieger attorney, Joseph Hahn, will present the seminar with Jason Gorski, a certified financial planner with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, according to a news release.

“The gay and lesbian community faces an entirely different set of concerns when it comes to planning their estates,” Hahn is quoted in the release.

“We will arm them with the best information about how they can protect each other, ensure that their property goes to the intended beneficiary and plan for unexpected circumstances.”

The other seminars are scheduled for March 16 and April 20.
