    Elroy Schwartz, TV writer, dies at 89

    Elroy Schwartz, who wrote for Groucho Marx, Bob Hope and Lucille Ball, but was best known as a primary writer for 'Gilligan's Island,' died Friday at the Odyssey House in Palm Desert after complications from surgery. He was nine days shy of his 90th birthday.
