The Desert Sun will hold a series of point-counterpoint columns and online video debates on the presidential campaign through November. A debate on immigration between Democrat Tizoc DeAztlan and Republican Don Donnelly took place on Tuesday, July 31, 2012.

From July 17 to Oct. 23 from 2-2:30 p.m. every other Tuesday, visitors to mydesert.com can watch local Democratic and Republican leaders debate stances on the issues taken by President Barack Obama and presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney. Columns on the issues will appear in The Desert Sun on the day of the debates.

All videos will be archived at www.mydesert.com/debates.
