The NFL says there was no reported damage to MetLife Stadium after Hurricane Sandy and the plan as of now is to play Sunday's game between the New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers in East Rutherford, N.J. as scheduled.
League spokesman Greg Aiello said the NFL will remain in contact with the authorities to see if any lingering safety and transportation issues will disrupt the game. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:25 p.m.
The Giants' preseason game against the New York Jets last summer was pushed back two days because of Hurricane Irene.
Aiello also said he currently knows of no issues that would affect Sunday's game between the Carolina Panthers and Washington Redskins in Landover, Md. Kickoff there is scheduled for 1 p.m.
The other teams in the Northeast won't be affected. The New England Patriots and New York Jets have a bye this weekend, while the Philadelphia Eagles head to New Orleans to face the Saints.
